Join Solid, Mature, No-Drama Group, Outpatient only in Eastern Suburbs of Denver. Ponderosa Family Physicians have been in this location on a major Aurora suburban commuting artery for 27 years. They are recruiting for a 2011 start as senior partners begin to set retirement dates. The ideal fit will be a BC Family Medicine MD with excellent training and enough experience to appreciate the rarity of a mature, stable, superbly functioning group.
This group culture is very teamwork-oriented and there is a lot of consultation between the physicians. No drama, no egos--just well-aligned incentives and goals. The 35 staff members (no mid-levels) are seasoned, well trained, and very good at supporting highly productive Family Physicians. No EMR yet. Average 25 patients a day and physicians work 4 days a week with no weekends. Call is 1:7 and minimally intrusive--typically 5 phone calls for an on-call evening. They admit through hospitalists. On the one-in-seven weekends a physician is on call, he/she works a little later on Friday to get in urgent appointments that might otherwise go to UC or ER. Partner-track with partnership evaluated at 12-24 months. Compensation for partners is productivity-based with an efficient system for allocating a fair percentage of overhead based on resources used vs. revenue generated. Buy-in is fixed on valuation of assets (no goodwill!). Excellent benefits and profit-sharing plan. Hospital Income Guarantee and relocation. |
