We are seeking several internal medicine physicians to join a large, well established primary care group in Las Vegas. The group provides inpatient management for acutely and critically ill patients . The group provides valley wide coverage on a 24 hour, seven (7) day per week basis to twelve (12) acute care hospitals and three (3) sub-acute/skilled nursing facilities.
The Hospitalist manages each case utilizing other specialists as needed. Hospitalist physicians have no private outpatient clinical practice. In addition, the Hospitalist is partnered with an RN Care Partner who assists in facilitating both inpatient and outpatient tests and procedures. Upon discharge, the RN coordinates any necessary appointments and provides a discharge follow-up phone call to the patient to ensure that all discharge instructions such as prescriptions, durable medical equipment (DME) or home health care (HHC) are received and followed as directed by the physician. Patient load varies depending on shift; average range of 15-20 patients/day/physician.
Teams of physicians service the facilities. Team sizes are determined by the volume of patients at the facilities. Physician teams, led by a Team Leader, determine among themselves the number and types of shifts individual team members will work to ensure continuity of patient coverage 24/7 for their assigned team.
Work Schedules:
Day Shift: 7am -- 5pm Monday through Friday; must work every third weekend
Night Shift: 5pm -- 7am; All Calls
7on/7off
Employed positions with full slate of benefits including paid time off, holidays, paid CME/stipend; malpractice insurance, including tail.
Quality and performance incentive pay is based on the individual's performance in conjunction with ther overall performance of the organization. Extra pay available for extra shifts worked (ER, rounding, etc.)
