Neurologist needed in Tort Reform State!
Rapides Regional Medical Center is actively seeking a Neurologist to either join an existing practice with one other Neurologist, or start a new practice in our community. One of our Neurologists left his practice due to illness and left a huge patient base. Annually, he saw over 300 new patients, over 1,000 returns and did over 600 hospital consults and/or admissions. There is EMG and EEG available and the patient mix is about 30% inpatient and 70% outpatient. We also have neurosurgery coverage 24/7 and both Hospitalists and Intensivists on our staff as well. We are a Certified Stroke Center and are looking for a real leader for our Stroke program. The new physician will share call with two others on the Hospital's staff, and will have the option to be employed or in private practice. The economic forecast of our hospital is great with a new 50 million dollar expansion which we completed last year. Louisiana is a Tort Reform State (capped malpractice claims), which makes this a very physician friendly practice opportunity.
