This is an exciting new opportunity for a fellowship trained Palliative Care Physician to be part of a new implemented program with Henrico Doctors' Hospital.
Henrico Doctors' Hospital has traditionally been the leader in the community for technological and surgical advances, with currently two DaVinci Robots in their operating room suite, and an intraoperative MRI for patients with brain tumors. The Cancer Center includes womens imaging and advanced diagnostic breast center, two inpatient units-surgical oncology and medical oncology, two infusion centers, radiation oncology and a busy brachytherapy service (GYN HDR & partial breast irradiation), a psychosocial oncology department, a screening/outreach program, clinical trials, multidisciplinary clinics and an extensive ancillary support staff. The Hospital has received the Outstanding Achievement award from the American College of Surgeons at their recent re-accreditation survey and our Advanced Diagnostic Breast Center was one of the first nationally accredited breast programs.
Henrico Doctors' Hospital is a large 3 facility/campus hospital. Conveniently located in the Richmond suburb and with their sister HCA hospitals, care for greater than 40% of the oncology population.
