One of HCA's prominent facilities, Riverside Community Hospital, is eager to recruit a neurologist with a stroke fellowship or significant experience treating stroke patients. We are looking for a "program builder" and leader who can help us develop our program and lead us to becoming a JACHO accredited stroke center.
Riverside Community Hospital is a 373-bed acute care, Level II Trauma facility, serving our neighbors since 1901 in greater Riverside County. As one of the largest full-service hospitals the county, there are over 500 highly skilled physicians, and 1,600 professionals on medical staff, with specialties in emergency medicine, cardiac services, transplant surgery, cancer treatment, labor and delivery, neonatal intensive care, orthopedic and rehab services. Some of their quality programs include the daVinci Robot, Bloodless Medicine, the HeartCare Institute, Cancer Center and Transplant Services. Riverside Community Hospital is Riverside County's only full service cardiovascular center and STEMI (heart attack) receiving center and one of only ten centers in California to offer kidney/pancreas transplants.
It is also Riverside County's only accredited Chest Pain Center, making it the first in California and the 11th in the nation. Housing the largest ER in the county, with 50-beds, Riverside Community Hospital provides immediate, specialized care to trauma victims -- treating nearly 65,000 patients annually.
Surgical services available include Total Joint Replacement, Spinal, Laparoscopic, Open Heart, Organ Transplant and outpatient procedures, among many others. The Cancer Center at Riverside Community Hospital is a milestone for the community, offering comprehensive, full-service cancer services to Inland Empire residents. Radiology and Diagnostic Imaging Services include 24-hour radiology/imaging services such as Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CAT Scan), ultra-sound and color doppler imaging, full service interventional radiology and angiography. Palliative Care Service helps achieve comfort, improves quality of life, and provides support for patients and caregivers for patients with serious illnesses.
